The Voice of Multiculturalism in North East Victoria:

  • Alpine Shire
  • Benalla Rural City
  • Indigo Shire
  • Mansfield Shire
  • Rural City of Wangaratta
  • Raising cross cultural awareness by promoting the benefits of diversity through education and celebration throughout the NEMA region
  • Supporting new and established migrants in their communities in the areas covered by NEMA
  • Identifying and raising issues of multicultural people when and where required
  • Advocating on behalf of multicultural people in the rural cities of Benalla and Wangaratta, Alpine, Indigo and Mansfield shires
  • Provide support and be a voice for the needs of multicultural groups in areas that may affect their lives
  • Provide access to information on government services and programs
  • Promote awareness of migrants' rights and responsibilities
  • Promote migrants' cultures to the wider Australian community through community events or the arts
  • Facilitate participation across all aspects of society
