Our Mission
The Voice of Multiculturalism in North East Victoria:
- Alpine Shire
- Benalla Rural City
- Indigo Shire
- Mansfield Shire
- Rural City of Wangaratta
Our Purpose
- Raising cross cultural awareness by promoting the benefits of diversity through education and celebration throughout the NEMA region
- Supporting new and established migrants in their communities in the areas covered by NEMA
- Identifying and raising issues of multicultural people when and where required
- Advocating on behalf of multicultural people in the rural cities of Benalla and Wangaratta, Alpine, Indigo and Mansfield shires
Our Role
- Provide support and be a voice for the needs of multicultural groups in areas that may affect their lives
- Provide access to information on government services and programs
- Promote awareness of migrants' rights and responsibilities
- Promote migrants' cultures to the wider Australian community through community events or the arts
- Facilitate participation across all aspects of society
